LONDON CALLING!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lotkzHsIuoA

London is what I would call as a surprise city.

The customs to get in the UK was an unforgetable surprise, negative one. What a horrible first impression. I was expecting a "welcome to the UK" or something like "have a good time in London", maybe not a warm welcoming but instead I got an incredible amount of idiot questions and needing to prove that I am not an immigrant even with prove that I have my entire trip in Europe already booked... things difficult to understand.

Walking around London is another great pack of surprises. Main streets like the Oxford street and Piccadilly Circus shows a lot of the big chaotic city London is.

Just a couple of blocks away there is an almost desert scenario, housing area filled with birds and a cyclist or a pedestrian passing by from time to time. London gather so much of calm and slow pace that it could be some kind of Zen city where you just enjoy time and life the way things should be.

London surprises for the almost endless offers of things to do. There is some kind of cultural explosion with more things playing than you can see. Theaters, musicals, cinema, dancing, shows, free museums and more museums...

Also surprises by the incredible amount of tourists it can attract.

At the same time it was a big surprise to see such a busy and chaotic city like this in Europe, London is one of the greenest city I ever saw. So many parks, gardens and public spaces to chill out even during a grey and rainy day.

The big surprise of the traditional and old in an incredible harmony with the brand new modernity.
The modern design of the Millennium bridge close to the traditional symbol of London, the Tower Bridge with more than 100 years old. The Tower of London fortress with almost 1000 years facing contemporary steel and glass office buildings. Maybe the towers and fortress of our age.

London is definitely a place full of surprises. And that God save the queen!
